The first edition of the WIND and WATER Silesian Boat Show was a great success!

At the WIND and WATER Boat Show in Katowice, all enthusiasts of water sports could find something for themselves. There were lots of new products and premieres, global and domestic alike, and the largest Polish yacht yards were well represented. There were lots of new products and premieres, global and domestic alike, and the largest Polish yacht yards were well represented. The yachtyard Galeon held the world premiere of the Galeon 360 FLY. The yachtyard Delphia Yachts, which is the top producer of sailing yachts in Poland and one of the main yachtyards in East-Central Europe, presented three models: the Nautika 1150 Voyage, the 989 Platinum and the Agapi 800. Parker Poland presented the Parker 690 Day Cruiser and the Parker 770 Weekend. Other yachtyards that presented their offers at the Boat Show included: Balt Yacht, Northman, Dalpol, Antila, Mariner Yacht and Eskapader; but there were also numerous importers of foreign boats and yachts: Power Boats Poland, Astex, M&YC, Dobre Jachty, Dedi Marine, Skyboat, Marinero, Yachts & Yachting, and many others. The exhibitors’ offers further included rubber dinghies, RIBs, jet skis, sailing equipment, engines, safety and rescue equipment, navigation equipment and yacht electronics. Producers and distributors of sailing and sports clothing were presenting their offers as well, and tourist regions were showcasing their active leisure opportunities – both on water and at the waterside. The event also promoted tourist water trails, charters, sailing waters, marinas, and interesting places for water sports, including windsurfing and canoeing. By visiting the Boat Show, visitors could already plan their future water adventures for the next year.
Setting up the WIND and WATER Boat Show in Katowice, we recognize the huge potential of the region, which while lacking natural opportunities for water sports remains one of the strongest and most active sailing regions in Poland. The history of sailing in Silesia goes back to the 1920s, and now Silesia has become a veritable haven for enthusiasts of water sports, whose numbers grow each year. The training offer is constantly expanding, and sailing has become a multigenerational sport in many Silesian families. Silesians going in for water sports can be found on rivers, lakes and seas all over the world.
The partner of the event is Magazyn Żagle, its sponsor is Henri Lloyd, and the Co-host City is Katowice. The Fair is organized by Yacht EXPO, and the executive organizer is Murator EXPO.
The WIND and WATER Boat Show in Katowice will be continuing the tradition of the Warsaw-based edition, which has been held regularly for almost three decades and which is the largest and oldest exhibition event of the water sports and recreation industry in Poland and a major event on the global scale. Judging by the huge interest in the Warsaw Boat Show among exhibitors, we are certain that the Silesian WIND and WATER in Katowice will become a permanent element of the Polish calendar of boat shows, fairs and other water-related events and that it will become a broadly known and recognised brand.
